Satoshi Wallet Captures 1.17 Million BTC, 99.86% Unmoved
An analysis has revealed that the amount of Bitcoin presumed to be mined by Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto has reached 1.17 million BTC. According to Bitquery Research, a reanalysis of the initial 54,316 Bitcoin blocks showed that 99.86% of these have never moved. As reported by Bitcoin.com, this estimate holds a value of approximately $100 billion. Bitquery conducted its analysis independently without utilizing the block list created by previous researchers and identified the Bitcoins mined by Satoshi through the 'Patoshi pattern.' The analysis found that only 1,550 BTC have moved since December 2017, most of which occurred during the early experimental phase of the Bitcoin network. Bitquery explained that the Bitcoins from early wallets that have awakened since 2020 cannot be considered Satoshi's assets. The estimate of 1.17 million BTC does not confirm Satoshi's actual holdings but rather classifies the amounts associated with early mining activities.
