OECD: AI Investment Fuels Global Economic Growth
The OECD stated that investments driven by artificial intelligence have helped the global economy perform slightly better than expected this year, but the impact of commodity price shocks caused by conflicts in the Middle East is expected to weigh on economic growth momentum in 2027. The OECD forecasts that the global economic growth rate will rise to 3%, down from the 3.1% predicted in June. AI infrastructure spending has become an important pillar supporting economic resilience, but the global outlook remains affected by factors such as volatility in energy markets.
