U.S. Frontier AI Labs Sign White House Superintelligence Agreement
Leaders from major chip, data center, and frontier model companies in the U.S. held a meeting on the development of "superintelligence," during which heads of frontier AI labs signed the White House Superintelligence Agreement. This voluntary agreement aims to enhance AI safety governance through industry self-regulation. Signatories will assume responsibility for product safety development and implement new internal controls and independent external audit mechanisms. This model is believed to facilitate the quicker establishment of AI safety constraints while maintaining the U.S.'s development in related technology fields.
