Strategy buys 950 bitcoin for 75.7 million dollars
Strategy has purchased 950 bitcoin for a total of 75.7 million dollars, at an average price of 79,670 dollars per coin. The company's total bitcoin holdings now grow to 846,000 bitcoin, representing more than 4 percent of all bitcoin ever mined. In addition to the bitcoin purchase, Strategy has also spent 174 million dollars on the buyback of its own STRC shares. This buyback reduces the amount on which dividends will need to be paid in the future. In recent weeks, Strategy has spent more on STRC shares than on bitcoin, with 176.3 million dollars in one week and 139.3 million dollars the following week. The recent bitcoin purchase brings the holdings back to the level of late June, when the company sold some of its coins to create more liquidity.
