Saylor Buys 4603 BTC at 80318 Average After Selling 6948 BTC at 62250
MicroStrategy purchased 4603 BTC for 369.7 million dollars at an average price of 80318 dollars on Monday, marking its first Bitcoin buy since June. This follows the sale of 6948 BTC for approximately 432.5 million dollars at about 62250 dollars per coin between May and August. The company is now 2345 BTC lighter than in spring. MicroStrategy's strategy involved selling Bitcoin to fund preferred shares and dividends when its stock, STRC, fell below its 100 dollar par value. With the stock recovering, the company returned to purchasing Bitcoin. Last week, it sold 4531421 shares for 602.8 million dollars, allocating 369.7 million dollars to Bitcoin, 151.8 million dollars for STRC buybacks, 50.7 million dollars for preferred dividends, and 30 million dollars in cash. Other firms also increased their Bitcoin holdings, with Strive adding 1800 BTC for around 143 million dollars and Bitmine making its largest Ethereum purchase since June. The overall market remains mixed, with Bitcoin priced at 78000 dollars.
