Nadex Under Crypto.com to Start Offering Individual Stock Futures Following SEC Approval
Nadex to Start Offering Individual Stock Futures After SEC Approval
Nadex (North American Derivatives Exchange), under the umbrella of cryptocurrency and derivatives giant Crypto.com, has submitted Form 1-N to the SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) and received acceptance.
Today, the SEC acknowledged the Form 1-N of our futures exchange through https://t.co/wVY8Zu330c and we are now authorized to bring single-stock futures to the market. We are working with the SEC and the CFTC to offer single-stock perps in the US, which will combine the innovations of the digital asset markets with the US capital markets. This is a huge moment for our team and platform -- more updates soon.

This process has led to the official approval for OG.com (og.com), a related trading platform of Crypto.com, to offer individual stock futures to U.S. traders. This regulatory approval has garnered significant attention as an attempt to merge traditional financial products with the mechanisms of cryptocurrency.
OG.com is an independent platform launched in February this year, and with the SEC's acceptance of its registration and immediate effectiveness, it can now roll out specific services for U.S. market participants.
Outlook for Individual Stock Futures and Perpetual Futures
Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, revealed the achievements and future outlook through his official X account.
According to him, the company is already closely collaborating with both the SEC and CFTC, aiming not only to provide current individual stock futures but also to discuss the offering of perpetual futures for individual stocks in the U.S. market.
Perpetual futures are a contract form that does not have a fixed expiration date, unlike typical futures trading, and are widely adopted in the cryptocurrency market. However, this innovative approach has yet to be established in the U.S. stock market and is expected to bring the speed and convenience of the digital asset market to traditional capital markets.
Moreover, regarding individual stock futures themselves, investors will be able to hold positions in major companies through contracts linked to future price fluctuations without directly owning the underlying stocks.
Movement Towards Integration of Stocks and Derivatives Across the Industry
Crypto.com is not the only company aiming to provide individual stock futures and perpetual futures in the U.S. Other major cryptocurrency and fintech companies are also entering similar domains.
For instance, Coinbase has notified the SEC of its intention to handle individual stock perpetual futures in the U.S. The company already has a track record of handling cryptocurrency futures and spot stocks domestically and is advancing further regulatory compliance. Additionally, Kalshi, which operates a prediction market, has reportedly sought regulatory approval to offer around 60 types of perpetual futures contracts linked to major tech companies like Tesla, Apple, and NVIDIA, as well as major ETFs.
Furthermore, Kraken has announced a partnership with the London Stock Exchange, planning to offer tokenized products for UK stocks utilizing the nighttime trading market by 2027, intensifying the global competition for new product development.
Expansion of Prediction Markets and Partnership with Robinhood
Supporting these advanced derivative developments is the strengthening of the partnership between retail brokerage giant Robinhood and OG.com.
Through the arrangement between the two companies, some prediction market-related contracts will be routed from Robinhood's platform to OG.com, rapidly increasing its presence in the prediction market.
With this partnership, after OG.com is established as an independent trading platform, Robinhood plans to invest in both companies. As the barriers between stock trading and the derivatives market lower, the connection between cryptocurrency-native companies and traditional securities platforms continues to attract significant interest as a factor that could greatly change the landscape of the financial industry in the future.
