Lido: stETH holders need not take action, affected ETH expected to return to the protocol within 45 days
On October 1, Lido responded to MetaMask's statement regarding the withdrawal of certain affected validators, stating that stETH holders need not take any action. The ETH withdrawn from validators operated by MetaMask Staking is expected to gradually return to the protocol after the relevant validators complete the exit, withdrawal, and re-entry cycle. Due to the long queue for entry, this process is estimated to take up to 45 days at most. The combination of node operators in the Lido protocol and other security systems, including a temporary reserve fund of over 6,750 stETH, aims to contain and mitigate disruptions to the normal operation of the protocol and provide other potential response avenues.
