Apple's New CEO Unveils iPhone 18 Pro and Foldable iPhone Ultra

Apple's new CEO, John Ternus, officially took office on September 5 and is expected to announce the iPhone 18 series next week, with the iPhone 18 Pro possibly featuring a new deep cherry color. Due to the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 events on September 11, the pre-sale date may be adjusted to early September 12. The foldable iPhone Ultra is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, but initial supply may be limited due to new manufacturing processes and structural designs, leading to longer shipping wait times for users. Market research firm Omdia indicates that Apple is adjusting its MacBook product line, with a higher-end "MacBook Ultra" potentially featuring an OLED display, available in 14-inch and 16-inch versions, and expected to launch as early as the second half of 2026 to early 2027. Apple is not expected to immediately discontinue the existing mini-LED MacBook Pro, and both screen versions may be sold concurrently for several years. Meanwhile, Apple is phasing out Intel Macs, having allowed universal applications for macOS 13 and above to drop support for Intel architecture Macs, in order to reduce application size and simplify the development process.
