Singapore's Crypto Economy Reaches $284 Billion, Institutional Platform Activity Grows by 94%

As of June 2026, Singapore's crypto economy has grown by 55.4% to $284 billion, making it the largest crypto economy in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. Institutional platform activity increased by 94% to $60 billion, primarily concentrated among a few market makers, over-the-counter trading firms, and institutional brokers. During the same period, the overall crypto economy in the region declined by 6.8%. The Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam collectively recorded 5.4 million peer-to-peer transfers below $10,000, accounting for 14.4% of the global total. The cross-border stablecoin activity in these three countries exceeded domestic activity, with the regional cross-border scale being 3.2 times that of domestic transactions.
